1. Controller

The controller responsible for the processing of personal data described in this Privacy Notice is:

LENZCO GmbH
Wolfbachstrasse 25
8032 Zurich
Switzerland

Email: team@lenzco.ch
Telephone: +41 76 830 99 00

This Privacy Notice explains how we process personal data when you visit our website, contact us or book an appointment online. Additional information may apply to the processing of personal data in connection with a client engagement.

2. Website visits and hosting

Our website is hosted by METANET in Switzerland.

When you visit our website, technical data transmitted by your browser to the server is processed. Access and error logs may contain, in particular, your IP address, the date and time of access, the requested address, the server response status, and information about your browser and the referring website.

We use this data to provide the website, maintain its security and stability, and identify and resolve technical problems and misuse.

3. Cookies and local storage

Our website uses the “pll_language” cookie to remember your chosen language. It contains a language code and is generally stored for one year unless you delete it earlier.

WordPress may also store information in your browser’s session storage about whether certain emoji characters are supported. This information helps display the website and is generally deleted when the relevant browser session ends or the corresponding tab is closed.

You can delete cookies and locally stored data or restrict their storage in your browser settings. This may affect certain functions, particularly the ability to remember your language preference.

4. Images and external links

The Zurich image is loaded directly from our own web hosting. No connection to Unsplash is established to display it.

Our website contains links to external services, particularly Microsoft’s appointment booking service. By opening such a link, you leave our website. The privacy information of the relevant provider also applies on the destination website.

5. Contact and electronic communications

If you contact us by email or telephone, we process the information you provide. This includes, in particular, your name, contact details, the content of your enquiry and any documents you send us.

We use this information to respond to your enquiry, assess a potential engagement and organise further communications. Where necessary, we also use the information to check for potential conflicts of interest.

We use Microsoft services for electronic communications and calendar management. This may involve processing contact details, communication content, attachments and appointment data.

Our Microsoft environment is intended to store the relevant customer data in Switzerland. This does not mean that all technical processing operations or support access take place exclusively in Switzerland.

Ordinary emails are not necessarily protected by end-to-end encryption throughout their transmission. For particularly confidential information and documents, we will agree on an appropriate transmission method with you.

6. Online appointment booking

You can book an appointment with Christian Lenz using the personal Microsoft Bookings page linked on our website.

The booking page opens on Microsoft’s service and is not embedded as a form on our website. Merely visiting our website does not load the booking service.

When you book an appointment, we process, in particular, your name, email address, the selected appointment and any other information you enter in the booking form. This data is used to organise and conduct the appointment and to send confirmations, changes or cancellations.

When you visit the Microsoft booking page, Microsoft may also process technical data, such as your IP address and browser information, and use cookies or similar technologies. Further information is available in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Please limit the information you enter in the booking form to what is necessary to arrange the appointment. We can exchange confidential details and documents through a communication channel agreed with you.

You can also contact us by email or telephone without using the booking page.

7. Service providers and international transfers

We use service providers, particularly METANET and Microsoft, for hosting, electronic communications and calendar management. They receive personal data to the extent necessary to provide their services.

We may also disclose data where required by law or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. In doing so, we observe applicable confidentiality and professional secrecy obligations.

We generally process personal data in Switzerland. When international service providers are used, data may also be processed in other countries, even if customer data is stored in Switzerland.

International transfers take place where the recipient country provides a level of data protection recognised as adequate by the Swiss Federal Council or where the necessary protection is otherwise ensured. This may include standard data protection clauses with the required Swiss adaptations or other appropriate safeguards. Where the European General Data Protection Regulation applies, we also comply with its requirements for international data transfers.

In the absence of an adequate level of data protection or appropriate safeguards, we transfer personal data only where a statutory exception applies, such as explicit consent or a transfer necessary to enter into or perform a contract. On request, we provide information about the safeguards used in a particular case and, where permitted, a copy of them.

8. Retention

We retain personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes described. We may retain data for longer where statutory retention obligations apply or where we need it to protect our rights.

The retention of enquiries and appointment data depends, in particular, on whether they lead to a client engagement and whether the information is still needed. Data that is no longer required and is not subject to a retention obligation is deleted or anonymised.

9. Data security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss and misuse. Connections to our website are encrypted using HTTPS.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable data protection law, you may request information about the processing of your personal data. You may also have rights to rectification, erasure, or the release or transfer of your data.

Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent with effect for the future. Statutory retention obligations, overriding interests and the rights of third parties may prevent us from fully complying with a request.

For data protection enquiries, please contact us at team@lenzco.ch. We may require appropriate proof of identity to process your request.

You may also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

11. Changes

We may amend this Privacy Notice, particularly if our data processing activities or the services we use change. The version published on our website at the relevant time applies.
